The psychological field is not one where someone can just step in and utilize natural talent. While natural intuition matters for a lot, it simply cannot sustain a career in psychology without having the requisite educational background and on the job experience. Psychology is more than just intuition, it is education and training too. Michael Civin understands this perfectly—he is both an academic and a practitioner of psychology. Michael Civin has excelled on both sides of the psychological field.

Michael Civin co-founded in 2008 a company called Rose Hill Psychological Services. He serves as a senior psychologist at that firm, which is based out of New York City. This is not his only occupation, though— Michael Civin also runs a private practice that serves patients in Bayville, Astoria, and Manhattan. This private practice has been running since it was founded in 2007. Michael Civin has worked in psychodiagnostics, supervision, group, adolescent, group, and adult psychology or therapy. He has, additionally, written a book concerning Internet psychology. This title of this book is Male Female Email: The struggle for relatedness in a paranoid society. Michael Civin has proven over the course of his career that he excels in both the academic and practicing sides of psychology—but this is the result of a high quality education in addition to his own personal skills and experiences.
